Brandspiral ("we", "us", "the site") is a content site for business name ideas. We try to run the site with as little data collection as we can get away with. This policy explains what is collected, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
Basic analytics. We use a privacy-conscious analytics setup to count page visits and understand which industry pages are useful. This includes page URL, referring site, rough location (country), device type, and browser. We do not set cross-site tracking cookies and do not sell or share this data.
Name Generator requests. When you type a word into the Name Generator, that word is sent to our server to fetch related words. We cache the result so the next person asking for the same word gets an instant response. We do not link these requests to your identity.
Domain availability checks. When the generator checks whether a .com domain is available, the domain string is sent to our internal lookup service. We do not store who checked which domain.
Email you send us. If you email hello@brandspiral.com, we keep the message so we can reply. That is it.
What we do not collect
We do not run third-party ad networks. We do not sell or rent data. We do not ask you to create an account. We do not fingerprint your browser. We do not embed pixels from Facebook, X, TikTok, or anywhere else.
Cookies
The site uses no tracking cookies. Any cookies present are strictly functional — for example, remembering the state of the name generator while you are using it. These stay on your device and are not shared.
Third-party services we rely on
A few third-party services make the site work. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Coolify / our hosting provider — serves the pages and stores server logs with IP addresses for a short period, used for abuse prevention and uptime monitoring.
- Google Gemini — the name generator uses Google's Gemini API to suggest related words. Requests contain only the word you typed, never your IP or any personal identifier.
Business name listings
Every business name featured on Brandspiral is taken from public sources — business directories, mapping services, and search indexes. We list the business name only; we do not publish phone numbers, addresses, owner names, or any contact information from the source data.
If you own a business featured here and would prefer not to appear, email hello@brandspiral.com and we will remove it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws to access, correct, or delete personal data about you. Since we collect very little, in most cases there is nothing to access — but if you want to make a request, email us and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will change the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will also be noted on the homepage for a short period.
